I lived in Coppell for several years, but didn't really feel like I had put down roots until I joined the Coppell Women's Club and met some ladies who are now among my very best friends. There is so much going on here that if you cannot find something interesting or fun to participate in, you're just not trying. I encourage all Coppell women to give this Club a look. Darlena
I moved to Coppell a year ago and was looking for a way to make new friends since it has become increasingly difficult now that my kids have grown and are off to college. The Coppell Women's Club has done just that. I instantly received a warm greeting at the introductory tea in September. There are so many small interest groups (SIG) to join that satisfy anyone's need or interest. The Excursion SIG has allowed me to get to know the Dallas area a little better with their day trips to various museums and other fun places. The Wine Tasting SIG has allowed me to get to know some ladies on a more intimate level over a glass of wine or two. It has even gotten my husband out to meet the other husbands of members. As a health care professional, I worked full time until four years ago. I was looking for something in my community to become involved in and much to my joy found the Coppell Women's club.
I had always shied away from Women's clubs because I felt so many of them were pretentious; you had to be voted in, etc. Coppell's women's club was warm, welcoming and had so many activities to engage in. I love the women in my book club. We have invigorating discussions and have become such good friends.
It's so great to walk in the grocery store or anywhere in Coppell and see a friendly face. When I had my knees replaced, there were my friends, bringing me food and company while I was home bound.
I can strongly recommend this organization as a group of wonderful women who care about each other, love to have fun and willing to help others in the community.
